The accident resulted in the amputation of his left arm above the elbow, his right arm below the elbow, and his right leg above the knee. Devastated by his injuries, Croizon sought a new purpose. Inspired by a television show about swimming, he decided to pursue the sport. Despite his physical limitations, Croizon embarked on rigorous training sessions in the waters near La Rochelle.

With the help of these innovative prosthetics, Croizon was able to overcome the challenges of swimming without limbs. He began a regimen of swimming, training for over five hours per day with the Maritime Gendarmerie, the French marine police, in the sea near La Rochelle.
